Down at Total Rush, Richmond on Saturday for the morning bunch ride to Mordialloc and back when Skinny Luke goes and busts out this awesome S-Works Project Black Venge.
I had the displeasure of trying to keep-up with Skinny as he pounded out the kilometres down to Mordi on this stealth bomber. The feedback from Skinny is similar to many others who have thrown a leg over a Venge; the bike is super stiff and ridiculously quick... need I mention that the S-Works Venge also just took positions 1 and 2 on the podium of the Mens Elite Road Race at the World Chanpionships over the weekend.
One great thing about the S-Works Project Black range is that as they come as a frame set only; so each complete bike is individual and built to your custom spec. Skinny's Project Black Venge is finished with Sram Red, Zipp 404s, Rotor Rings and PRO vibe sprint bars and stem.
I really like that Specialized are now going down the matte path for the Project Black range; it's a much nicer finish than the last generation of super shiny clear-coat over raw carbon finished frames.
